Trafalgar Square is een openbare ruimte in het centrum van Londen, gebouwd rond het gebied dat vroeger bekend stond als Charing Cross. In het midden staat de Column van Nelson die aan de basis bewaakt wordt door vier beelden van leeuwen. Verder staan er nog talrijke beelden en sculpturen op het plein. Het plein wordt ook gebruikt voor politieke demonstraties en bijeenkomsten, zoals de viering van Nieuwjaar.
Trafalgar Square is a public space in central London, built around the area formerly known as Charing Cross. At its centre is Nelson’s Column, which is guarded by four lion statues at its base. There are a number of commemorative statues and sculptures in the square. The square is also used for political demonstrations and community gatherings, such as the celebration of New Year’s Eve.
